It's been awhile.

I lost Lola just over a year ago. 

She had an emergency surgery and fought the fight for over 3 weeks.  

The only thing worse than death is suffering.  

It was a very hard choice choice to make.

It fresh on heels of losing my brother to cancer.

I wasn't exactly a poster child for mental health for some time.  

After a therapist suggested I help other bunnies to heal myself I started volunteering at a local shelter. It has an excellent care centre for bunnies and I fell in love again in about a month a half.

Here's Ricky 

A he's 4 now. What a absolute doll!

He's incredibly affectionate and he has taken over Lola's bedroom that I couldn't touch after she passed.  

He has free roam, as Lola did, when we are home and loves our dog. 

I also got Lola's paw prints tattooed in my arm as part of the healing process.  

Ricky is a master of the flop and has the bluest eyes that even Anderson Cooper would be envious of!
