Dog and cat attacks are the two most common reasons for intakes. Remember to keep an eye on your dogs when they are off leash outside—and always keep cats inside!

Contact a licensed rehabilitator (like us!) any time an animal is in a dog or cat's mouth. Animal mouths are full of bacteria that can cause life-threatening infections, even if there aren't any visible wounds. A course of antibiotics can protect these little guys from some serious issues, so it's always good to err on the side of caution.
