Calling All Rabbit Nabbers!

Calling All Rabbit Nabbers!

Thanks, Lila and to-be-rescued bunny! Lila writes:

This little guy has been showing up in our yard for the past few weeks. He or she is very fast, so it's been hard to get close enough for a picture until now. We've seen it munching on grass and hopping around, and even taking a nap near the fence. It's been living out there for a while and it is pretty skittish, but we've been trying to get it used to seeing us more.

While there are a few places in the world where domestic breeds make up the wild rabbit population (e.g. Ōkunoshima, Vancouver), when you see a rabbit like this outside it’s usually because it’s been abandoned. Longtime bunny friends know this happens all too often at Easter when parents bring their children a bunny as a holiday novelty, only to release it when they get bored (reminder to make yours chocolate!).

All of this is to say that Lila could use some tips on how to catch this little one. I know some DB-ers have experience rescuing abandoned buns, so please drop your advice in the comments!
