See You Later, Spunky Bunny

I'm sorry to tell you and our DB friends that we made the difficult decision to euthanize Cookie Monster in July, no longer able to keep her comfortable and happy after 3 years of medical problems and treatments. I'm attaching a photo from the day I adopted her from her second home in 2015 (around 1 year old) and another of her (standing) in 2022. I learned quickly that she ate (not just chewed) plastic and packing tape and mailing labels, which is why I renamed her Cookie Monster. Quiet for her first 8 years, she became quite vocal when medical treatments began, snorting and grunting to let us know how much she disapproved. She was always a spunky bun who much preferred the company of buns to humans--clever girl!
