See You Later, Little Bear

Thanks to Pía and bunny Björn - sad news today from Pía:

Björn has passed away around 3am [Saturday] morning. He was with me during this time. After 11 years and born in my house, crossed the US from DC to California, and few years later from California back to DC and crossed an ocean to Europe it was not easy to let go. Bunnies are not like dogs and cats, they are fragile, they are sweet, they love you differently and all they want is a little pet in the head and that makes them happy. 

Björn, Carmelo and Ottilia were all special to me, but Björn was different. When he was born nobody seem to like him, perhaps because he was brown and had a white belly I will never know, but I knew that I love him. Born in my house, I didn't even know Ottilia was pregnant, Carmelo was mischievous. Bjorn was a perfect chubby brown bunny, had helicopter ears for a while and never got in trouble. Didn't like cables didn't like baseboards, he just wanted his space, hay, be able to see you often and a little pet in the head. He definitely had Carmelo's personality. 

I know he left knowing I was there for him, I hope he knows how much I love him. 

It's very difficult for me because we spent so much time together and it will be very difficult to explain to my son when he wakes up that he's no longer here.

I love you Björn, my little Kodiak bunny and I hope to see you one day again.
