Introducing: Mystery Hare!

Introducing: Mystery Hare!

Thanks, Lisa! She writes:

My husband discovered this baby jack rabbit yesterday under a piece of sheet metal. I called a local wildlife rescue to inquire, as it seemed odd to see him alone. They informed us this is normal behavior. They hunker down alone or in pairs and just wait for mama to feed them twice a day. The mama doesn't hang around because she doesn't want to draw any attention to the baby. It is so hard not to scoop him up and take care of him, but we know we need to not interfere… The wildlife rescue person was quick to correct me, that he is not a bunny, he's a hare. I always thought those terms were interchangeable. And she said hares are born fully furred, unlike bunnies. Very interesting fact.
