Bunny Having Surgery

St. Patrick’s Day 2010’s bun, Mr. Peaches, is having surgery today “for the second time in 8 weeks to have a cancerous growth removed. The cancer is very aggressive so the surgeon is going deeper and wider this time in hopes of getting it all. The recovery will be tougher than last time.” Mr. Peaches’ owner hopes for your best wishes today!

UPDATE: Mr. Peaches’ owner has written in with an update:

“Mr. Peaches has recovered quite well. He’s got a heart of a lion. It was a tough 2-3 days following the surgery. He was wiped out physically, emotionally and mentally from everything. We had to give him pain meds every 12 hours and fed him manually. But now he’s eating like normal again, hopping around our house and begging for dried cranberries (his favorite snack). We’re going back for a check up in one week. We remain concerned about the aggressiveness of the cancer and have looked into chemotherapy and radiation treatment but it’s a wait-and-see game. For now, he’s healthy, hopping and happy. That is we can ask for. Thank you to everyone for keeping our precious little bun in your hearts, thoughts and prayers. We know this positive energy helped him heal faster. We love you all.”
